Agrahara

Agrahara is a government health insurance scheme in Sri Lanka designed to provide financial protection and healthcare benefits for public sector employees and their families.

It is managed by the National Insurance Trust Fund (NITF) and helps cover medical expenses for both inpatient and outpatient treatments. Eligible members can access healthcare services in both government and private hospitals, often with cashless admissions, reduced fees, and special discounts.

• Married Public Servants: Coverage includes the member, their spouse, and unmarried, unemployed children under 21.

• Unmarried Public Servants: Coverage extends to the member and their parents (if under 70 years old).
